"Give" a Basket of Flowers that will last all summer long!  You can sponsor a Basket of Flowers that allows you to
become a part of the beautification of downtown Gardnerville and to be supporters of the Horticultural Programs at
China Spring Youth Camp/Aurora Pines Facility, Douglas High School and Smith Valley School.

Driving through Gardnerville in previous summers, you saw beautiful flowering baskets hanging from the lamp posts
along Main Street, Highway 395.  This summer our goal is to hang 58 baskets and Main Street Gardnerville needs
your help.

The donation amount is $75 per basket. Gardnerville officials plan to hang the fully flowering baskets in early June,
weather permitting.  You can admire the flowers all summer and you won’t need to water them!

Own a piece of downtown...

The Main Street program has begun installing decorative four-foot metal benches downtown to accommodate
and encourage pedestrians along the main street corridor.

You’ll find these benches at the Record Courier Center, the Historian Inn, Sharkey’s Casino, Heritage Park,
the Town Offices and soon at the Stratton Center.

These benches can be sponsored by a service group, business, or by an individual/family.   Each bench will
have a plaque affixed to it, honoring your service club, business or individual/family.  

The one-time cost is $1,000 per bench plus shipping costs. These benches will add a nice touch to our
downtown district.

Main Street Gardnerville has a community information kiosk located at the corner of Main Street and Eddy Street
(next to JT’s).

The kiosk is provided free of charge for advertising special events, sales and promotions, to encourage visitors to
Main Street Gardnerville.

Space reservations for the kiosk may be made at the Main Street Gardnerville office, within the Town Hall, at
1407 Main Street during regular business hours.
